WellKept is an iPhone-first personal relationship memory. These are the quickest answers to the questions people ask most.

Where is my information stored?

Your WellKept library has a local copy on your iPhone. If you are signed in to iCloud and private CloudKit is available, it syncs automatically between your devices. There is no WellKept account and no public or shared WellKept database.

Does WellKept upload my contacts or calendar?

No. Contacts are read on your device for browsing and matching; only people you choose become WellKept profiles. Calendar access is read-only, limited to calendars you select and a bounded date window. WellKept never creates or edits a calendar event.

What happens when iCloud is unavailable?

The local copy of your library remains usable offline or while you are signed out. iCloud sync is not a versioned backup, so use JSON export when you want a separate recovery copy.

How do I restore WellKept Pro?

Open WellKept Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Your App Store account is used to verify the purchase; no WellKept login is required.

Scope and approach

This notice explains how WellKept handles information in the iPhone app and on this public support site. WellKept is developed and operated by Anton Yefimenko, an independent developer. It is local-first: the primary copy of your library lives on your device, with optional automatic sync through your private iCloud database. We do not require a WellKept account.

The app requests access only when a feature needs it, and you can keep using core features when Contacts, Calendar, Notifications, Microphone or Speech access is unavailable.

Information the app uses

Your WellKept library: profile names, optional relationship labels and photos, raw notes, confirmed memories, important dates, follow-ups, source links and app settings.
Contacts: with permission, WellKept reads identifiers, names, birthdays and thumbnail images needed for display and matching. Your address book is not uploaded to WellKept, RevenueCat or a hosted AI service.
Calendar: WellKept reads events from the calendars you select within a limited time window to prepare context. It does not write to your calendar.
Voice capture: speech recognition is required to run on-device. Audio is streamed to the local recognizer and is not saved as a recording by WellKept.
Notifications: reminders are scheduled locally. Lock-screen text is deliberately limited and never includes note text, memory details or follow-up titles.

iCloud, on-device intelligence and subscriptions

Apple iCloud. When private CloudKit sync is available, WellKept syncs only its own library records. It does not sync your full address book or full calendar. Apple processes this data under your iCloud relationship with Apple.

On-device intelligence. Smart Capture and, on supported devices, Pro Private Intelligence run on your device. WellKept does not send note text, voice transcripts, names, calendar titles or extracted facts to a hosted AI provider. Suggestions remain drafts until you confirm them.

Apple and RevenueCat. Apple processes App Store purchases. RevenueCat helps WellKept determine whether Pro is active. The app provides RevenueCat with an automatically generated anonymous app-user identifier, Apple receipt or transaction information, product and entitlement status, renewal or expiration information, and limited app/device technical data needed to operate and troubleshoot subscriptions. We do not attach your name, email address, contacts, notes, calendar details, voice recordings, memories or iCloud content to that record. This information is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. RevenueCat processes end-user information as a service provider; you can read its privacy policy.

This website. It has no account or contact form, and WellKept does not add advertising, tracking cookies or product analytics. Railway and Cloudflare provide website hosting, delivery and security and may process request-level technical data, such as IP address, browser and request information, as needed to operate and protect the site under their policies.

Retention, disclosure and security

Your library remains on your device and in your private iCloud database until you edit or delete it. A deletion propagates to devices using the same private sync store. Temporary JSON export files are cleared by WellKept; copies you share or save are under your control.

Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to provide purchases, restores, fraud prevention and legal compliance under their policies. WellKept does not sell or rent personal information. Information may be disclosed only when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety and service integrity.

Deleting your WellKept library or the app does not cancel an App Store subscription or erase Apple and RevenueCat transaction records. Manage cancellation in Apple's subscription settings. For a privacy request concerning WellKept or its service providers, email support@sylalabs.com.

WellKept uses Apple platform protections, including private CloudKit and complete file protection for staged exports. No system is perfectly secure, so avoid putting information in the app that you would not want stored on your device or in your iCloud account.

Data controls

You stay in charge.

Most controls live in WellKept Settings. System permissions live in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security.

Edit or delete anything

Every memory can be changed or removed. Deleting a person also removes the WellKept data connected to that person.

Export a recovery copy

Export your people, notes, confirmed memories, dates and follow-ups as a readable JSON file from Settings.

Delete all app data

Use Delete All Data in Settings to remove local records and their synced private CloudKit copies. Deletions propagate to synced devices.

Change permissions anytime

Pause Calendar access, choose calendars, or change Contacts, Microphone, Speech and Notification access in WellKept or iOS Settings.

Privacy request?Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing. Email support@sylalabs.com and avoid including relationship content.

Using WellKept

Use the app lawfully and only with information you have the right to record. You are responsible for what you add, confirm, export or share and for keeping access to your device and iCloud account secure.

Drafts, reminders and availability

Extracted details and reminders are aids, not guarantees. Check dates, follow-ups and AI-assisted drafts before relying on them. WellKept is not an emergency service or a substitute for professional advice.

Subscriptions

WellKept Pro is an auto-renewable App Store subscription. Price, billing period and any trial appear before purchase. Apple handles billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its terms. Deleting WellKept does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel it in your Apple subscription settings.

Changes and responsibility

Features may change as the product improves. To the extent permitted by law, WellKept is provided without promises beyond those required by Apple's Standard EULA and applicable consumer law. Material policy changes will receive a new effective date here.
